Our mission

We are a community of doctors who sat the very exams you're facing. Our goal is simple: to help you grow as a clinician and, along the way, earn the best USMLE score you're capable of.

We don't believe preparing for the USMLE has to mean burning out. Done right, it can be one of the most formative chapters of your medical life — if you approach it with the right method, the right mindset, and the right people around you.

Reason, don't memorize

Highlighting and re-reading slides isn't enough. The USMLE, and clinical life, reward reasoning, not recall. We teach you to think like an excellent physician, not to memorize like a panicking student.

The 20% that explains the 80%

Every piece of content we make has a clear learning objective. We don't test trivia or ask you to recite guidelines by heart. We focus on the small core of concepts that unlocks the vast majority of questions — and makes you a better doctor.

Study actively

The clinical vignette belongs at the center of your prep from day one, not at the end. Working through cases is how you learn to actually answer — it's faster, more effective, and far less tedious than passive reading.

It doesn't have to cost your wellbeing

We want you to study smart: less effort, more results, and your mental health intact. Preparation can be demanding without being destructive. Your life before, during, and after the exam still matters.

Hi, I'm João Nuno.

If you're reading this, chances are you're where I once was: staring at the USMLE from outside the US, unsure where to begin. I'm a dermatologist and anatomy instructor at the University of Coimbra, and I prepared for Step 1 and Step 2 CK the same way you're about to — as an international medical graduate, far from the system that designed these exams.

"What changed everything wasn't studying more. It was studying differently. The USMLE doesn't reward whoever memorized the most; it rewards whoever reasons like a clinician."

Once that clicked, preparation stopped being a grind and became genuinely interesting — and the scores followed.

That's the shift I want to share with you: that you can reach exam day prepared and confident, without having wrecked your health to get there.
